The sites were hacked on 5th July and left with Anonymous official logo, a deface along and a message in Arabic language asking people of Egypt what they are really up to and what do they want? No Mubarak and now no Murso, so what else? The deface message was expressed in following words:
  • This website was hacked, because we want to pass a message to the Egyptian people" what do u want? u said u didn't want Mubarak so he left. Your country got into a critical situation, u said u wanted a president, and after the elections, You said Mursi is your president, and Mursi did all he could, its enough that he was an Islamic ruler, (changed the filth that was in Egypt, tourists in Sharm al Sheikh and prostitution etc, bottom line is that I hope my message got to those who don't want Mursi, cause you cant find a ruler like him in all Egypt. Important Note: what caught my attention is that Egypt will be divided in three countries, and u'll see everything going to be a game I swear.

fema-hacked-anonymous-hacks-us-server-in-defense-of-snowden-and-government-transparencyA group of Anonymous hacker has said to hack into a server used by Federal Emergency Management. According to them, the data secured through this breach is highly prolific and could beat the recent documents leaked by Snowden on PRISM project. In one of the documents published online the group unleashed the type of data they have gotten hold of. Most of it was email address and passwords of users which seem to government employees because most of the email addresses were hosted to .gov or .mil. The Anonymous group also disclosed the reasons behind this hack, according to them, they wanted disclose them as force especially in relation to crackdown attempts made against the hackers these days.Furthermore, they wanted government’s attention in regard to their intervention with the private sector for gathering sensitive information. One of Anonymous group’s member said:
  • Anonymous does not wave the white flag. Not while we are faced with a daily stream of abominable revelations from Edward Snowden and others, not while the battle for the very soul, the very original purpose, of the internet escalates in severity daily,” read a statement by a representative of Anonymous and obtained by GlobalPost.
However, the main reason behind this attack was to warn the government intelligence agencies regarding their act. The Anonymous member also put light to ties between government agencies and cyber crimes investigating firms. One clear example he gave was Obsidian analysis which is contracted by FEMA for investigating prime cyber attacks in the country. Obsidian analysis also created a mock news on Anonymous hacktivists which was broadcasted through CNN and a senior reporter was involved in reading out. The news was related to imaginary hacktivists group Void- the news said the group has laid out an attack which could be really disastrous in terms of both government and private sector. Anonymous group is not really all these acts and is really looking to up their anti against the U.S. government agencies. Given that, we can expect more attacks from Anonymous group in future.

Anonymous-hacks-leaks-emails-passwords-US-Congress Anonymous hackers have claimed to breached the official website of US congress and its mail server (mail.house.gov and senate.gov), as a result around 1800 email addresses along with their passwords have been leaked online. Hackers claim that emails and passwords belong to US Congress and their staff which have been compromised to make it clear on congress that Anonymous hackers have been keeping an eye on them over ongoing issues such as NSA, FISA and PRISM. Anonymous-hacks-leaks-emails-passwords-US-Congress-2 The leaked data which has been dumped online shows email addresses and their clear-text passwords along with a message, which has been expressed in following words:
  • For the purposes of being far too generous with you guys, we have removed some of the passwords and shuffled the order of the remaining ones,” the hackers wrote next to the data. These are all current, valid credentials but they are not in the original pairings. We reserve the right to spontaneously decide this restraint was unjustified.

The leaked data seems legit but unclear if it was acquired from American Senate or from the systems of US House of Representatives. Anonymous hackers have become suddenly very active and critics of ongoing issues as few hours ago the same hackers had hacked FEMA's server in support of NSA's whsitleblower Snowden. The hackers from Syrian Electronic Army have hacked the official Twitter account of New York based multinational media and information firm Thomson Reuters Corporation.  After getting access of Reuters's Twitter account, hackers started tweeting images and messages expressing their show of power which can be seen in above given screenshot. Hackers known for their hardcore support for Syrian President Bashar-Ul-Assad from Syrian Electronic Army announced the hack on their official website along with a screenshot showing the hackers have access to the Reuters's Twitter handle.  On their website, the hackers explained why the Twitter account was targeted and what happened when they got access of media giant Twitter handle:
  • The Syrian Electronic Army was here, we hacked today the official account of Thomson Reuters and published some truth about what is really happening in Syria!

However, the Twitter authorities suspended the Thomson Reuters's twitter account within one hour of hack and at the time of publishing this article, the account was restored yet unclear if it has been under control of it's real owners or not.
